Ixtapa and its nearby sister town of Zihuatanejo combine pearl-white beaches with the allure of a quaint fishing village for an intoxicating blend of relaxation and beauty. Modern Ixtapa is home to ten pristine beaches along a 12-mile Pacific Coast stretch and offers a variety of water activities such as deep-sea fishing and parasailing. Just five miles to the south is Rustic Zihuatanejo (also called Zihua). This town, framed by five beaches, offers a village feel and a great view of the Sierra foothills encircling the bay.
